Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Taco.trade ("we", "us" or "our", meaning the operator of the Site and the Interface and its affiliates) handles information when you use taco.trade (the "Site") and app.taco.trade (the "Interface"). It forms part of the Terms and Conditions. It does not apply to the Taco Protocol, which runs on a public blockchain we do not control, or to any third-party wallet, bridge, oracle, community platform or other service.
01What we do not collect
We do not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, address, phone number, date of birth, identity documents or payment details, and we do not perform identity verification. We do not hold or have access to your funds, private keys or session keys.
02What we collect
From you: your wallet address when you connect or join the whitelist; any referral code you enter; a display name if you set one; a Discord or Telegram handle if you link one for a community role; the contents of any message, ticket or notice you send us; and your confirmation that you are not a Restricted Person.
Automatically: your IP address and approximate location; browser, device and language information; pages viewed, features used, timestamps and error reports; and session-key metadata (public key, creation and expiry, device). We never receive the private portion of a session key.
From the blockchain: your wallet address, transactions, positions, deposits, redemptions, Vault Share balance, referral binding and loss rebates are recorded on BNB Chain and are public. We read them to display the Interface, the leaderboard, activity feeds and referral rebates. We cannot alter or delete anything recorded on the blockchain, and third parties may link your wallet address to other information about you.
Cookies: functional cookies and local storage to remember your settings, and privacy-focused analytics without cross-site tracking. No advertising cookies.
03How we use it
To operate the Site and the Interface; to enforce the Terms, including geographic restrictions, sanctions screening and detection of prohibited conduct; to run the relayer, keepers, referral programme, whitelist and campaigns; to respond to you; to secure and monitor our systems; to comply with Applicable Laws and respond to lawful requests; to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and to produce aggregated statistics that do not identify anyone. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performance of the Terms, our legitimate interests in operating, securing and protecting the Site and the Interface, compliance with legal obligations, and where applicable your consent.
04How we share it
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions (hosting, RPC, geolocation, wallet screening, analytics, error monitoring, support and community tools); with wallet, bridge and oracle providers you choose to use, under their own terms; with our affiliates and contributors who need it to operate the Site and the Interface; with authorities or other parties where required by law or where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with Applicable Laws, enforce the Terms, or protect the rights, property or safety of Taco.trade, our users or the public, including to address fraud, manipulation, exploits or security issues; and with a successor in any reorganisation or sale.
05Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for applicable limitation periods; IP and location records for up to [12] months unless an investigation or claim is ongoing. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information we hold, but no system is completely secure. You are responsible for your wallet, keys and devices. Nothing in this Policy creates any obligation as to the security of the Protocol, the Interface or related infrastructure beyond what the Terms provide.
06Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your information, or to withdraw consent. Contact us at notices@taco.trade; we may ask you to prove control of the relevant wallet. These rights do not extend to information on the blockchain or to information we must keep to comply with law, enforce the Terms or defend claims. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.
07Transfers, children, changes
Information may be processed in countries other than yours, with appropriate safeguards where required. The Site and the Interface are not for anyone under 18. We may revise this Policy by posting the revised version at taco.trade/privacy; changes take effect when posted.
